ENGAGING COOPERATION – HOW TO TALK SO KIDS WILL LISTEN
This workshop is based from the book How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish. Topics include helping kids deal with their feelings, listening with full attention, and helping them behave in ways that are acceptable to us and to society.

POSITIVE ALTERNATIVES TO PUNISHMENT- WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR CHILD’S BEHAVIOR
This workshop is based from the book How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish. Topics include expressing feelings without attaching character, stating expectations, and ways to problem-solve ‘real life’ situations.

EMPATHY – CARING ABOUT YOURSELF AND OTHERS
This workshop is based from the book How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish. Topics include encouragement and role modeling as two essential parts of parenting, including the importance of empathy, and the stages and components of empathy. Children who show empathy for others feel better about themselves, have more friends, get into fewer fights with friends and siblings’, and, in general, are more caring people.

MANAGING BEHAVIOR WHEN SOLVING PROBLEMS
This workshop is based from the book The Stop & Think Parenting Book: A Guide to Children’s Good Behavior by Howard Knoff. Topics include teaching children what they need to be successful and by thinking before they act using problem solving techniques. Skills will help with higher self-esteem; will help them solve problems when parents are not around; and will help them become more responsible teens and adults.
