CRUHSD Grading Procedures

Attention Mohave and River Valley High School Students and Parents:

Here is updated information from the Colorado River Union High School District about distance learning grading procedures and instructions while traditional classrooms remain closed by order of Gov. Ducey.

Over the next weeks as we work on grading for the Second Semester, it is critical that all parents and students stay connected.

Teachers will be reaching out to all students by phone, email, and by the U.S. Postal Service to connect with their students.

Effective immediately, teachers will close out their grade books to reflect student grades through March 5, 2020, as this was the last day that students were in class.

Teachers will be contacting all students that have makeup work to submit. This will include any and all assignments up to and including the March 5th deadline. Assignments given after March 5th, will not be included in grading, but must continue to occur in order to meet the requirements spelled out by Gov. Ducey and Arizona Department of Education to help close the education gaps for the coming school year. Teachers will continue to accept all assignments that were assigned before March 5, 2020. All assignments need to completed and submitted to teachers by April 26th.

For Mohave Community College Dual Enrollment classes: MCC has required that all Dual Enrollment Classes and grading continue until May 11, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

For Advanced Placement (AP) Classes: Students will be able to take their exams online. AP teachers will be reaching out to give their students resources to assist with this exam.

For Seniors: The Arizona Civics test must be completed as a state graduation requirement and will be available online. If you have questions, please check with your guidance counselor.

Parents, please check your ParentVue accounts to make sure that your information is up-to-date as teachers will be reaching out to you. Students, information will be sent to your school emails, NOT your personal emails. Please be sure to monitor your email accounts.

Parents, you can reach out to your student's/students' school by phone between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, where a team will be taking messages for teachers.

These grading procedures do not apply to CRUHSD Academy, because its separate online curriculum has been ongoing.

We hope that this message finds you safe and healthy. Please continue to take necessary precautions.
