EMPATHY – CARING ABOUT YOURSELF AND OTHERS

This workshop is based from the book How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish. Topics include encouragement and role modeling as two essential parts of parenting, including the importance of empathy, and the stages and components of empathy. Children who show empathy for others feel better about themselves, have more friends, get into fewer fights with friends and siblings’, and, in general, are more caring people.
