The goal of the English Language Development (ELD) Department is to provide guidance and support for the implementation and monitoring of the state mandated Structured English Immersion Model to all district schools.  The ELD model is designed to promote English language proficiency through the use of the Arizona English Language Proficiency Standards. http://www.ade.az.gov/oelas/ BCESD is dedicated to provide ELD instruction so that English language learners acquire social and academic English language proficiency to fully participate in all educational activities.
